Shasha Network and Junior Achievement Zimbabwe partner to Bridge Career Education Gap

Shasha and JA Zimbabwe will work together to enhance access to early career education

Shasha Network and Junior Achievement Zimbabwe are proud to announce their new strategic partnership.

The two youth-focused organisations are on a mission to enable access to early career development support for thousands of young people across Zimbabwe. Through Shasha’s Bridge program, JA alumni will receive soft skills in Self-Leadership, Mentorship, Career Research, and Personal Branding. We understand that successful school-to-work transition requires more than just generic career information, but the provision of contextualised career guidance and mentorship.

The two organisations share a long history as Shasha Network was born out of JA Zimbabwe’s Company program. Their mission is to create the next generation of well-rounded global citizens who are empowered to compete and create value on the world stage.

“At Shasha, we believe that every young person has the potential to achieve their deepest hopes and career aspirations. This can only be possible if they have access to structured career guidance, mentorship, and professional networks. JA alumni possess solutions to some of society’s biggest challenges and we are excited to usher them into the next phase of their career journey post-high school,” says Farai Munjoma, CEO of Shasha Network.

The value of being connected with mentors and experts who can impart knowledge is crucial in the formative career stages.

“What excites us the most is that we have a trailblazer of a JA Alumnus who is leading such a life-changing initiative. Picking from where our in-school program ends, JA Zimbabwe alumni will receive continuous career development support as they transition from high school into preliminary career opportunities — They’ll become part of a global community of peers and mentors that will support their development journey. That’s incredible.” says Phil Mlambo, CEO of JA Zimbabwe

The future of our young people highly hinges on their ability to make important career choices, this is a crucial skill they will require throughout their lifetime. As the world evolves, the most resilient of our young people are those that will have access to life-long learning communities which they can leverage for support and guidance. Connecting them earlier on in their journeys guarantees us positive outcomes and endless possibilities for the future.
